ESP-WROOM-02 module onboard ESP8266EX RF chip. ESP8266EX has built-in ultra-low power Tensilica L106 32-bit RISC processor with CPU clock speed up to 160 MHz for real-time operating system (RTOS) and integrated Wi-Fi MAC/BB/RF/PA/LNA, supporting standard IEEE802. 11 b/g/n protocol, complete TCP/IP protocol stack. Users can use this module to add networking capabilities to existing devices or to build separate network controllers. Up to 80% of processing power can be left to application programming and development. It can be used independently or as a slave to other host MCUs.
